    problem scanning

    Hi finally got my The Box Super USB. Trawling through the different threads it looks to me that there are different solutions in Ireland as to England can some body point me in the direction of firm ware before ver. 1.10. ver1.07?
    Also whe4n I do an auto channel search I get different providers to choose from <TW, N*L, EX C&W, OM, CHORUS, CHORUS CORK> I've done an auto scan with all mentioned providers but I don't pick up any channel.
    The display on the box starts off with 4 lines and cycles through to 4 lines.

    { ---- , 8888 , 8882 , 6-01 , ---- }
    the 8888 stay's approx. 5sec.then change to 8882 for about 3sec. when the 8882 changes to 6-01 my TV automatically changes channel to ext.2 which is the scart in put I'm using for the box.
    I'm in Camden London so can any one give me some advise cheers

      Cheers Jok
      've done like you said scart in lower socket. Cable co_ax straight from wall socket into box
      wen i switch the box on it goes to choose language screen i choose English then i come to the main setup page installation is highlighted then i go to auto scan this takes about 1min. then the page changes to manual scan but even now i cant pick up a signal iv scanned using all available operators but no joy the only thing that changes are the values on the manual SCAN PAGE down frequency symbol rate, constellation, wen i close this page i come back to the language page,
      im stumped as to wot why and were could i get v1.07 from?
      thanx again

          there are 4 co-ax connectors on the back 2 are next to the 2 scart sockets they are marked as TV OUT(top one) and ANT IN (bottom one) i am not using these they are for normal ariel.
          The other 2 are between the USB socket and the power on/off swich they are marked cabel input (top) cable output (bottom).
          my co-ax from the wall is pluged into the cabel input (top plug)

                I'm a bit un savvy with this stuff and have a similar problem - done all the above and no channels found. Plugged cable aerial into tv and searched - got nothing. does this mean the cable signal is disconnected outside? Have I just bought a white elephant??? I really should have done a bit more homework on this one, Any help maybe more than useful.

                Thanks, Rickv
