Digivox XL USB - absolutely stone dead

Bought brand new Digivox XL USB (Dublin)...loaded up software (DigivoxXLUSB_1.04_090623.BIN)...box worth perfectly for two days...got message suddenly last night "this is an invalid box", turned off/on power at mains and box utterly dead...zappo...nothing at all happening.

Does this sound like hardware rather than software ?

This is a black box, I was assured its 'genuine'...but it seems to be in reality a copy of the Starview with a 'brand' on it ?

For the two days it worked it was perfect other than I hadn't successfully managed to get the PVR working.

    Thank you.

First one I heard going like this from Digivox range although the come from the same place as Starview.

There have been a number of clone and early genuine boxes been killed by the later firmwares. Jtag is probably the only option, but the jtag points and other info is required.

Thanks Satsmo...fair dues to my vendor, I also explained what happened to them & they've just come back to offer me a replacement without any question.

Thanks Cactikid...I would share your view....I've seen no evidence that would suggest cloning.

I was referring to the Starview clones. The boxes Digivox and Starview both come from the same place. The warning message "this is an invalid box" is exactly the same as the Starview clones and early genuine boxes just before the bootloader is killed.

Stratocast luckily you have a decent vendor. Care to name them at least members here will know where they can get good after sales support if needed, thanks.
