box-t not finding any channels-power circuit replaced

hi a friend had a starview box-t and it just gave up completely it wouldn't even power up. so i got a new box-t and replaced the power circuit of the broken one with the new one.......it now powers up and i can see the image working perfectly but when i do a scan it finds nothing.......i know my setup is correct because when i try another box on it, it works fine.........does anyone have any ideas what it might be............is it the tuner that is shagged or the circuit electronics or something...........any help greatly appreciated .........thanks

Sounds like a hardware problem as you said. If another similar box works at the same location and this one doesnt.

Is the power to the ant on when you scanned?

yes the power to the antenna is on
