A little advice for The Box

Hey guys and girls, just recently all my channels for The Box went. And was wondering which firmware I should download for it.
Here's what I pulled up from system info:

    API Ver: 4.50e_E
    Boot Ver: 7.0
    5 Jul 07

And the box itself is a The Box DV3. Any help at all would be much appreciated.

Sorry forgot to mention. Living in Cork, Ireland and runs from the Chorus line

Very much doubt you'd get an N2 fix for that. As I said somewhere else, Eurovox and Starview dont seem to support older receivers other than the current receivers eg: the receivers that sell in the shops. Best bet is to sell your receiver on ebay.co.uk not eBay.ie as these receivers still work in the UK and I dont think you'd get any money if you sold it on eBay.ie as these cant take a N2 fix. Just write it needs firmware and you should get quite a high bid for it. You can then purchase a Starview 4, Eurovox EX1000SL, EX51000, EX7000, a Dreambox, an Openmedia 500cs or a Dbox. These will all take the N2 fix. If you're strapped for money I suppose you could get yourself a DM 500C, but you'll need to do a whole lot of learning

Lose your memory sticks? Forget to backup? Why not get 2GB of free space online, and I get 250MB too

There is no n2 fix for The Box - Starview 2. If you live in Southern Ireland at the moment and are an ntl customer, it will not work, and is highly unlikely ever to get a fix.

If you live in Ireland and are a chorus customer it will work, and if you live in the UK it will work, and the firmware is available in the downloads section.

Also ebay does not allow the selling of boxes, they stopped listing them quite a while ago.

                      Hi Folks,

Apologies if this is a repeated question. I have a straight forward Starview The Box PVR. I have read that there is no firmware update for the box. However, can anybody PLEASE tell me how to do the following:

                      1. Where in the menu system can you manually enter the codes.
                      2. Where can I find the codes. I am in London so need the codes for Virgin.

Sorry, but I am a total newbie to this so please treat with kid gloves.

                      Thanks

Just because they dont allow them doesnt mean they dont sell. From what Ive seen on eBay, people selling their receivers as new and have more than 1 for sale(eg: a business seller) tend to get theirs removed quicker. VM probably does care about the small time people pirating cable, but probably want to get at the bigger sellers on eBay first as a lot of people buy their receivers on eBay

Any ideas where I can get the codes and possibly (if it exists) the latest firmware? I tried downloading the Chatterbox toolbar, but all I got was a search engine toolbar.

                              Cheers for your help.
