    Hi EAMO 2

    Like I said, a newbie on the doorstep with my begging bowl out and a tear down my face.....

    I was confused as I thought the box pvr was made by Starview. Your reply is pointing me to the Eurovox download page. Thank you for the correction.

    I will give the software a go. Just one Q if you don't mind. The .rar file has a file within it with a .tbn format. Is this correct or should it be in .bin format?

    Thanks m8.

    TD

        all current receivers can handle the fix(2009 models) and the linux receivers
        Lose your memory sticks? Forget to backup? Why not get 2GB of free space online, and I get 250MB too

          Not totally correct;
          STAVU4 record function is still out
          v1.10 fix lost 10 chls. in first week, they had to issue BETA fix to resolve it
          Read thru forums;
          SVU4 showing 8882 ------------box kaput
          SVU4 showing INVALID BOX, pwr-off--pwr--on ; box fu**ed
          SVU4 is about as stable as CHERNOBYL

              I said they could handle it, I didnt say they were very reliable Anyway I would recommend the Kryptview/Eurovox EX1000SL if you wanted a closed source receiver

                Eamo 2, granted the EX1000SL may have "problems" of its own, but the EX5100 is supposed to be a PVR and that doesnt work properly. If the remote goes from the EX1000SL then you buy a new one. It has an "elliptical blue glow" instead of an LED
                I really find it ironic that you prefer the EX5100 when it has more problems than the EX1000SL and what you described to me werent exactly problems, but just maybe some features that some people dont like. Note I put quotations around problems when I first said that

                  eurovox

                  hello,
                  Im just wondering if you fixed your box. I have a eurovox ex1000sl. i have no clue about technology in general except that i used to be able to put codes into it and it would work- now it doesnt? Any solutions?

                  Here's what I pulled up from system info:

                  API Ver: 4.50e_E
                  Boot Ver: 7.0
                  5 Jul 07

                  And the box itself is a The Box DV3. Any help at all would be much appreciated.

                  Sorry forgot to mention. Living in Cork, Ireland and runs from the Chorus line

                      Has it been down for some while eg: since December and you decided to pull it out now? Or do you live in Ireland and havent updated it since the last time these went down?

                        Howyu Waqa,
                        You seem like a nice chap, but we will never meet, because
                        we live on different planets.
                        On my planet features enhance & make an item more desireable.
                        I regret referring to your elliptical blue glow as an led.
                        5100pvr IS a PVR, & it works fine since January & so do 20+others.
