Hi im new to this ive jost got myself a starview 3 box and not sure how to flash the box can someone advise me please

to flash the box you will need a Serial RS232 cable which plugs into the com port at the back of the laptop and the other end at the back of the box
if you dont have a com port then you will need a Serial to USB converter... reason being is that if you are using a laptop then most likely you will not have a com port on it
Once you have the right cable you will then need to download the image from the link provided above.
Unzip the downloaded file and you will see the UFL ( unified loader)
on the previous versions of starviews you had to browse for the images however for this one there is no need to browse for the image,, because the image is embedded into the loader... (UFL)
remember after you have flashed the box you will need to scan the box... and then access the CAS menu (1570)
Enable the EMU
click on: Set default key
Exit 3 times and go on to sky sports 1 and wait for a few mins until the channels decode
Do remember that if you are based in ireland... this box will no work as there is no fixes for the starviews and the only working version in ireland is Starview 4 USB
