The Box-T Identification!

Hi All,

I'm updating the firmware on a starview "The Box" it's on MMDS in waterford, Ireland. I'm Sure it's The Box-T. But it just has the logo "The Box" on the front of the unit. Is this the case?

Is it ntl mmds or chorus mmds? If you are ntl mmds 'The Box' i.e. Starview 2 would work.

It's on ntl mmds, so that would mean you wouldn't need the box-t just the box would do? so it could be just the box?

Yes, it would be just the box, SV2 on ntl mmds, not a box-t.

Thanks for your quick reply, I have already put on the box-t firmware, but it won't pick up an channels, should i just put on the latest the SV2 firmware instead?

Yes, give it a go, hopefully putting the wrong firmware on it hasn't damaged it.

no it wouldn't have but if you are having difficulty press download and have your box switched off then turn it on this should work good luck

Just thinking is NTL MMDS in ireland on Nagra 2 as with cable and will The Box 4.57 firmware work? or am i just wasting my time?

I'm pretty sure that it isn't on n2 yet, firmware should work.

wasting your time if on n*l as they are on a dvb/c box with nagra2,loads of non working boxes in irl with no fix.
if you have a digivox t it will say that on front of box and that is c****s mmds with aerial on roof.
