    |Just scan it in the other room as long as the box has them in they should work on the weaker feed.

always scan from direct feed,no splitters,if all the channels work from that all good, splitter on and lose a few also old coaxial will degrade signal.

What signal strength does your box show when you press the S.L. button on your remote ?
I've got a two way splitter in my outside wall box , which has a 2 way splitter on one feed and a 3 way splitter on the other , these feeds supply 5 starviews around the house .
I've only used well jointed extension cables and Qamtex splitters , (the ones virgin use ) .
All boxes scan in 320-350 channels and have 85 - 98 % signal strength and i've never had to use attenuators.
                  Hope this helps mate !

when you say scan through a direct feed what do you mean?when i take the box into the other room it scans and finds all the channels and works but when i take back into other room the channels that are normally missing are there but not working.what can i do?when i scan the 2nd box it does not find the last 20-30 channels like zee tv,espn, star plus
