Can any one help..Ive got this Starview the box. Ive tried to put the latest firmware into it using the links at DK .ive used the proper V.4.03 051005 exe and the loader and the h20081222E-475eE-api bin file it takes it ,it lets me scan and save all the channels,it goes ok for a short time them shuts down, then it gets a mind of its own and start re booting all the time ?????????????
    and ideas would be appreciated

check the capacitors on the psu board m8 to make sure none have blown its usually the c11 cap.

sounds to me like a bad flash the v4.03 is old f/w
latest f/w for that box can be found below
if it is the cap problem look here but change c11 cap with 16v not 10v

i tried it mate and its now working, the cap that came of was a 16v,i only had a 10v one ,i fitted it and its been running now for a day with no probs i can only think that this box has had a power surge in my mates house and that s blown the cap.Do you know much about Eurovox's my one is freezing on some channels ive been told that the signal is to strong is there any way to reduce the signal ?

glad thats sorted your problem m8

as for the Eurovox if the signal is to strong a attenuator should do the trick
i presume you have tried a factory reset and rescan
