STARVIEW 4 (THE BOX SUPER USB)

Alright fellas, I just had V**gin broadband and phone installed and the nice guy who installed it sort of accidentally put a tv feed in for me.. totally by accident of course ?10.

So I am about to by myself a Starview 4 The Box Super USB. I have been on the net for about 2hrs now at loads of different sites and my head is about to explode!

Can anyone tell me once I buy the box what to do from there. i.e. setup, latest firmware, v**gin codes, auto roll etc. etc. I'm only asking because i think i scrambled my brain looking at all the different stuff and it won't work anymore so i kneel to defeat! Thanks to all in advance!

Thank you Jok for the tips. I think I fried my brain yesterday reading, . I'll post how i get on, i'm buying it tomorrow from digitalpromo a trusted site and local to me so i can pick it up.
By the way the latest FW i found is v.1.12 is that right or do you recommend another? Cheers!

Yes v1.12 is the latest, but I believe there is issues with the EPG recording with this f/w, am still on v1.07 and it works for me, if it aint broke dont fix it

Cheers mate just read a couple of posts and they said v1.07 is freezing their premium channels? My mate used v1.12 on friday and says everything A ok, wot do you reckin? If i use v1.12 and it doesn't work there's no problem re-flashing with v1.07 is there?

Na m8, you can go back from v1.12 to v1.07 no problem, like a say v1.07 aint broke so choice yours really, just remember to have box switched off if your inserting/removing your USB device.

Jok 1 more and the last question for today. Is their any problems with the EPG on that version v1.07? Thanks for all your help mate.

look in through vents first for a heat sink=clone
do not flash it with v1.12 it will kill clones.

Socoolit, I just bought the starview 4 today mate and it took about 10min from start to finish if that. I've got every channel and i was amazed myself how simple it was.
If you read posts above mate they pretty much tell you all you need to know. Good Luck! Happy Viewing!

Hi all. Im certainly a newby to this. I have family with the Starview 4 (The Box Super USB) using Chorus NTL in Ireland. Sports channels and scrambled. Can I resolve this do you know? I work in IT so technical I can do. i just need a place to start. Any help would be appreciated.

if you are on n*l 25 channels moved to nagra 3= no fix ,all movies and sports are gone and maybe more to follow.
i presumed you flashed your box,scanned for channels and keycode to on.
