what version 4.57 sv2

Before i reflash a sv2 can someone tell me what the 4.57 info box displays. Reason Im doing this espn keeps disappearing, when i autoscanned yesterday it was there, but pic kept "tearing". It may already have the latest ver. on?? Not my box so I dont know present installed frimware.

try a factory reset then rescan
to see what firmware is on the box press menu system setup then goto system information then press ok

Ive tried a factory reset and re scanned, everything working except espn and espn classic, they are on screen but badly breaking up. firmware installed is. THE BOX
API:VER8.02e.
E BOOT VER:7.0
30NOV.2008. Also tried a manual scan on these two.

press default key then rescan your box from direct feed. no splitters...

the box must be a starview super the 8.04e is the latest firmware for that box loader and firmware is all in one

is there a attenuator on the end of the coax if not i would try that first

i.e. is this how it shows up in system info.

what does is say on the front of the box

It says "The Box", and 2004 code works for emu.

ha its ok i can now remember now there was a 8.02 for the box and also the box super
as your thread title says the 4.57 is the latest firmware it will au the codes i would update it
but i don't think it will solve your problem it sounds like a to strong/weak signal
but update the box first and rescan and let us no results

Thanks Martin, Its looking like a weak signal, although sorts and movies are A1. Im a euorvox watcher really, "The Box" is a friends. Im a bit tentative to do a re flash, if the latest firmware is already on and working. After doing basic research it seems it can be a bit of a pain. (Turn box off and download then turn box on,,etc). It looks like 30th nov was latest firmware.

the latest f/w is the 4.57 he will be having to put codes in to that f/w as it will not au as the 4.57 will
sometimes a to strong signal as the same affect as to weak thats why i said above about the attenuator as it keeps the signal stable if not then its a booster
