I am fairly new here but have been reading through the forum a bit since I bought my SV4 about a week ago.
So far I am liking it but I did run in to a challenge with an external HDD.
I have a Maxtor basics portable 80gb drive that I have formatted as FAT32. SV4 did not recognise the usb drive at all.
I tried again by partitioning the drive so that just less than 32gb was used as the fat32 partition and still nothing.
The drive is bus powered but I have heard of 160gb and 320gb bus powered drives working fine in this setup. Is there something I am missing?
I am also buying a 16gb USB stick in the mean time but would really prefer the extra recording time if possible. Any assistance greatly appreciated.
