starview 4 powered off

I was watching tv the other night when i got this message "this is a invalid box"..This went on for a few minutes.Then all of a sudden it was power off.My box went completly dead and has no power at all.Has anyone had this problem or any ideas what can be done??

Is it making a clicking noise when you turn it on and off?

it sounds to me he has a clone and put f/w above the v1.07 on the box and killed the bootloader

No i just checked it from the details here how to tell if it is a clone and it in definately not.

Then the best advice is to return it to suppliers if it's under warranty contact them and see what they say, hope you kept a record of the sale!

.....No i dont even have a receipt.Is there any master restart or anything on the box if i open it up??

You could try a max232 interface it will come with instructions but it's you last hope I'm afraid Tailor-Made Circuits

Oh i wouldnt have a clue about anything like that mate
Just hope its not to expensive to send it back.Does starview have there own company to send it back to?

No it does not have anything like that.

Then you need to do as suggested above and get the max232 it's your only hope mate either that or the bin
