Can I use SV4 Super box for FTA Satellite?

Hi all. In Dublin and have a SV Super USB and wondering if I can get it to work for FTA Satellite. Is there a patch or do I need a new box for Satellite? Any help would be appreciated

The SV4 is a cable box only so you will need another box for Sat.

Thanks a million. That will save me some wasted time. Can you recommend a good FTA satellite receiver?

Our satellite section will have lots of info regarding a Sat set up.

Starting off there is not much open on patched boxes so a linux based STB would be advisable, i.e. DM500S. Although hearing good reviews of both the TM500 and TM600, (new Technomate linux boxes.)

Motorised is better than fixed for a better and varied choice of available Sats in your footprint.

Please take a look in the Sat section and you will find a wealth of info. Ask in here to start off http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f11/
