I got a starview box from a friend and when I go past the language option and to the cable network there is NTL, EXC&W, OM AND TW. Our cable network is Chorus in Ireland. Would anybody have any ideas.

hi,you didn't say what sv model you had;1,2,3 or 4,however, when l got when l got my first sv box l didn't know who my cable provider was so l scanned each in turn.it turned out to be tw.l also did manual scans and switched on network enable.did your box still work for your friend?l've heard some parts of lreland have changed to nag 3 encryption.lf your located in one of these areas your box won't work any way

c****s land may be starting to loose channels to n3 so we dont know how long.if box says starview on front=sv1 it is.
