Starview Boxes

Having read through a lot of posts here, is it actually worth getting a Starview box now or wait a while to see what happens with this new encription method. Never used a box before allways paid for the service but its getting to much for v+ and xl packages.

Read on other sites that very soon all the boxes will be pretty much useless and also from a few mates that they are losing chanels.

Just dont want to blast ?100 on somthing that will last a few days.

if u live in ireland i would not get one .....if u live in the uk u shud be ok forthe moment ..u can get a geniune box from wizards satelite for 79.99 so ur gonna get ur moneys worth if u get two months outta of it

Might just take the plunge and get me one.

I got a satelite on the wall from teh old house owners so might look at a satelite method maybe.

have you got cable or satellite? these boxes are for cable only. would think getting satellite would work out a lot more expensive. get a cable box .....

Yeah i have cable from VM atm, with xl tele, V+ box xl internet etc.

But all it was the old owners left the dish on the wall, so thought that would maybe be another route if the cable failed.

Cable it is for now anyway. Might as well give it a go.
