starview 4 not working

i have woke up this morning and all of the non free to air channels were unavailable, in the past i have just pressed factory reset in the menu then rescanned all of the channels, this time when i have pressed factory reset the box has not came back on, can anyone help me with this?? thanks in advance

hi maybe i was a bit unclear. when i rebooted the box it did not reset, it jus turned off as though it was going to reset then it did not turn back on at all. thanx for the reply anyhow though, all help very much appreciated

Does it have any numbers on the box display

not as such, it has just got 4 dashes '-- --' and thats how it stays unless i press the power button then it shows 12 00, which i believe may be the time

I would do a factory reset and do a re-install of the firmware. 1.07.

when i turn the box on it doesn't show any picture on my tv at all, no menu's, blank screens or anything. instructions would be greatly appreciated thanks

Have you checked all your connections at the back scart etc

yea all of them, as i said earlier in the thread, it went off when i tried to do the factory reset and never rebooted, so im presuming its half way through and crashed. any ideas?

If you can't get in any of the menu's i am not sure what can be done.
Some of the more technical guys might be able to answer you.
Have you tried switching it off and on at the back.

good call m8. this has been known to work with a few boxes.

never guess what, its fixed. when i set the box up a few months ago it was interfereing with my dvd player, so i changed the output frequency channel no, when reset it reverted to default and my television was not tuned into the default setting, haha, loads of headache for a stupid little mistake, sorryto trouble you guys, thanx for the help recieved though, much appreciated
