Try menu > 1570 > turn keycode on & press ok on set default > exit to a $ channel & it should update, if not coe back to us with firmware details and your location.Comment

did you do a fresh scan after you updated firmware, always best to factory reset, then flash, then auto scan your provider, remove any splitters first, and set default key and enable keycode to on and exit out.
if firmware is ok then just factory reset and scan.Comment

You have VLC set up by default to open the bin file. You need to change the associations of VLC so it doesnt try to open a bin file.
In VLC click on the Association Setup button, under the Instances section of the menu. This will open the list of file types with which VLC can be associated. Unclick the bin file type.
Or you can simply right click the file and manually associate it with the loader, which I presume you have.I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer. - Douglas AdamsComment

Just drag the file onto your usb stick, switch your sv off put usb in the back, switch the box back on then select usb from the menu screen, install the file onto box, the sv will then reboot to language screen select english, installation, auto scan on your service provider, when complete press menu & press 1570 on remote turn keycode on, press ok on set default then exit to a $ channel, leave to update > happy viewing.Comment
