Starview 3 The box super problem

I Know you have had probably heard this problem a thousand times before but my case is unique. The problem is that when watching a channel it reboots every say 5minutes and it cannot be a firmware issue as i have never updated or downgraded the firmware due to me having a laptop and i cannot find a usb to pin wire so i am stuck with entering codes which work fine but the satellite continues to reboot. Please help.

    Ps i am a newbie.

You obviously know you have old firmware.
I would put the new firmware on by either buying a usb to 9 pin adaptor or if you have a friend with a desktop buy a Null modem rs232 cable

            Examples of what you need

My Cable Box-Cables & Accessories-Null Modem Data Cable

My Cable Box-Cables & Accessories-Logilink USB to Serial RS232 Adapter

You can get these online at a few sites or go to maplins

The thing about updating is when i went to maplin they said the usb to 9pin wires they are selling do not work for satelitte receivers so i opted not to buy it. Using a desktop is sadly not an option

Maplins usb / 9 pin are notoriously tempremental but some people have got them working using drivers that are in the download section.
If you can I would buy a usb / 9 pin online from one of the cable box sites

I will have to go maplin because i cannot buy online at the moment. Isnt there a usb to 9pin cable that goes straight into the satelitte? Instead of buying two wires ? Don't mean to sound rude just weighing up all the options.
