the same plug you get on a tv,kettle
      13 Amp Plugs & Fuses
and the wires are connected to n and l
adaptors can be the cause so get rid of them.

Ok i took your advice got an electrician in and changed the plug to 3pin with the amp fuse but the problem continues however when unplauging the cable there is no reboots so could that point towards a cable issue ?

After people suggesting to update to 8.02e i did so yet the problem still continues with the 3pin plug. Should i give up ?

ok m8 theres 3 or 4 Philips screws at the back and side of your box open these and the top cover will come off easy then check all connections clean any dust and most important make sure the box is plugged out there might be some current still in the box so take care
