starview clone help

brother has got a starview 1 clone had no problems with it at all until yesterday the box went off, got the box off him went into the menu, reset factory, 0000 incorrect password. he must have changed it but hasnt got a clue what it is, re-flashed with crypt 1.5 but still the same cant re-set factory, any ideas would be welcome. thanx
