Hi Can anyone help \i have the starview 2 and have lost all the channels I have the firmware on a usb but when trying to download it from the gtrom its asking for the model number anyone know what this could be any replies will be much appreciated Thanks

connect your box to PC with null modem cable
you then need to run the gtrom
in FILE TYPE select App File Only
click on BIN File tab and this will open a windows explorer window
browse to your flash file and click on it then click Open and this will put the file into the gtrom loader
hit the download button to load the file to your box

why not try a rescan before you up date your box...

I have done that but its still asking for the stb model

are you up dating your box from a laptop...

it dose seem to work better on an xp pc.m8 using r232 null cable. but other peolpe use a lappy with no problems.

Hi there i have update my box with my laptop with your info now it says scramble or bad channel can i get these channel back on by doing something my system information says

auto scan
then menu 1570
turn emu on
then exit out to tv

do i need to set a password coz when i press menu there no 1570 Cheers

press menu then go to factory settings then press 0000
then go to automatic scan press ok
when done exit twice then press 1570
this brings secret menu scroll down and turn emu on
then exit out to tv and let the box update ..maca..
