starview 4 need help with epg and channel sort

hi,
i have a sv4 box a few weeks now and it works perfect,
my onle problem is the epg only shows whats on now and next,
is there any way to get it to give further info??
also i can't sort channels, when i go into menu and then channel edit the option to sort channels is a different colour and so i cant use it. I'm in southern Ireland if that makes any difference,

Which firmware version are you currently using? EPG was never the best in Ireland even with the latest firmware.

There is a Beta channel editor in downloads with instructions on how to use it. If you cannot find it just shout.

Also take a look through a few threads as there are quite a few that will guide you through these issues. Also make sure you have a genuine box as opposed to a clone when updating your firmware.

its a genuine box alright and i'm using version 1.12

i've dwonloaded this but i can't seem to install it on my box, is this because it is a beta??(sorry i'm a complete noob) is there something else you have to do to install a beta because i was able to install v1.12 no prob, thanks for the help

Do not install this on your box. It is not firmware it is a standalone channel editor that resides on your pc.

You import a channel list from your box, edit it on your pc with this app and then upload the revised channel list to your box.

hi I had the same prob I reset the time fixed it 4me as for the sorting im not sure as i can't change it on mine sorry

i've got the channels sorted now,
i've tried reseting the time like you said but that hasn't worked for the epg,
what did you do to reset it just go into time setting and try and set it manually or something??

go back temp. to ver 1.02 should enable SORT & MOVE
do your work.

epg slower with ver 1.07 but ,more reliable than ver 1.12
