    Update to the situation
I sent the sv5 box back believing it was faulty, "the box distribution.co.uk" checked it out, they where very helpfull and replaced for new sv5.

I went through the normal procedure to install firmware, and the sv5 box is working perfectly.(worked first go)

They did say that sv5 gtrom loader software should be out in a week or too, and they will send it to me. i will make it available if its not already, if someone can tell me how to?

    Do i just attach file?

I would like to thank everyone for there help!!!!!!!!

I can sit back and enjoy

    Many Thanks

What you want to be loading this f/w onto it>> Digital Kaos - Downloads - TheboxSuperUSB2_v2.03.20090923.BIN

Now you have a USB to serial adapter, these can be very hard to set up and get driver for, I would suggest you try and get hold of an old laptop/desktop with a dedicated I/O 9pin serial port on it.

You could also change your com port settings for your USB adapter in device manager, look in ports, port setting, advanced then change com port number to 1 or 2,3 then 4, you will also need to change it to the same in the loader.

And also have you got a NULL modem cable??
