starview 5 newbie

Can anyone help me with set up please,is there a idiots guide for the starview 5?

go into downloads ( or link in my sig ) and get TheboxSuperUSB2_v2.03.20090923.BIN and open zip and add to your usb , insert usb in to box and in menu goto usb and install software , then do as in the picture below

do i need to put that onto the usb stick?
can i use any usb stick?

sorry got the file now but what size usb does it need to be?i doubt i will record much.any make of usb or just a cheap bog standard one anygood?

but i cant open it

no need to open it
no need to unzip it ...it s a bin file just pull it over to ur stick ..or copy it to ur usb stick,,,,bin is binary ,,,zip or rar files need un wrappin

You can use the following on the SV5
Mem Stick
Memory Card with usb adapter
Portable Hard drive
All must be formatted to Fat32 Use the PC its a lot faster.
Do not remove anything from the USB while the box is on SWITCH it OFF First.
If you need to format bigger than 32gig then there is a good program in downloads that will do it on Vista and will do drives larger than 32 gig.Its called funnily enough Fat32Formatter does not need to be installed on pc either i used it from a flash drive
