I think I actually mean splitter & cable - apparently the box is coming with an F-RF adaptor & 2-3 pin plug adaptor which I assume means I'm going to need a splitter & cable?

it s advisable u keep ur virgin supplied box plugged in so that if virgin send any updates the virgin box will recieve them ...thats the only reason u may need a splitter n cable un less u want to run the cable to another room of course or if u have a live feed to a modem and u want to split it so that u can recieve the tele as well ..the starview doesnt actually need a splitter n some more additional cable to work ...just a live virgin cable feed

I think I'll keep the Virgin box connected in that case - so a splitter & cables are needed? Would you mind advising the splitter & cable type needed?
