    Which Firmware Upgrade For My Box?

    I've got a pretty good idea what I'm doing with these things but I'm not sure which box I have! If I go into System Info it says.....

    The Box
    API ver : 4.51e_E
    Boot ver : 7.0
    9 Jul 2007

    Can anyone tell me which Box I have from that and what firmware I should be downloading to get it up to date?

    I've tried a search on Google Images but the earlier ones look much the same.

    Thanks.

    Look at top left hand corner of your box.

    Starview=SV1
    TheBox=SV2
    TheBoxSuper=SV3
    TheBoxSuperUSB=SV4
    TheBoxSuperUSB2=SV5

    You can find the firmware at the top of the starview page in the stickies.
    Will not work for Eire

        Looking good. Now I just have to re-order the 120 or so channels that we used!

        Is there somewhere that will give me info on what the SV5 will do for me? If there's a big difference I may get a new box.

        Cheers.

            Yes there is all the details about the sv5 on this site dead easy to set up should take no more than 10 mins to get up and running one of the easyest boxes i have used so far.The sv5 will operate the same as other sv boxes its the newest version so in theory it should be faster at doing most things i personally love it and i have used a few other types before this one.Remember it has its own firmware dont use one from a previous version ie sv4 etc

                    Thanks folks.

                    Just to save starting another thread, some of our movie channels have a voice over in the background. I suspect my nephew was pushing buttons when he was here a few weeks ago, however yesterday's firmware upgrade didn't fix it. I can't see anything about this in previous threads so I assume it's just us.

                    How do I tun it off?
