hi all can anyone tell me what the latest firmware for the box super
i have the old 600e on my box but it keeps getting blown

I am having a few problems with my box super, the box keeps turning itself off and on, and last night several of the keys became unresponsive on the remote. I turned off the power overnight, now this morning, the box works but I am totally unable to use the remote control. I dont want to re install the firmware (version 8.02) because is the buttons still dont work on the remote I wont be able to scan etc...please help, I have found 8.02 works fine but did try to update to 8.04 two days ago to try and remove that annoying narration on films, unfortunately the box would not take the download. and before anyone suggests it...I have changed the batteries on the remote

Hi you just remove the film narration with your remote press audio button then alter setting. simples . many posts explain this.

have you got latest f/ware on?
just try menu, 1570, make sure keycode is on, then press default.. vermin have been messing with codes for a few days, but firmware will cope...

Im new to all this download stuff, but have a cable box "The Box Super" and most of my channels have gone over the last few weeks,

I'm really hopeless when it come to this stuff, is there anything at all that I can do to get my channles back...

If possible please explain slowly as Im not that clever when it come to computers or TV's...

if you are in eire, you re in trouble. if not, assume you have latest f/ware on because you had all channels working.
try menu, 1570, make sure emu is on, press default ,then exit to pay channel. should work. if not try factory reset, p/word=0000. then do rescan on provider. then back to menu,1570. emu on, etc...hope it works but if not get back here.

doubt it mate. only a few parts of the emerald isle left without nag3. not been hacked yet and would doubt if it ever will. basically you are left with a f/view box. footy can be got on your pc for free. sorry mate.

Boomer, I can arrange to get an MMDS Chorus box (which will require an aerial) do you have any info on these type of boxes, as I know a few people here in Limerick that have same and have all their channels intact.............

Would it be worth my while to get this????
