thought something was happening in the cambridgshire area last night, as on the stroke of midnight my sv4 usb came up with "no signal", but then check my phone line and that was down too.
Both working again at 6.30am this morning. Maybe a fault or some form of switch over??

exactly, mate. if your phone/internet is/was down its vermin having probs, not your box...pity other people dont check this first...
