Can u watch avi films on starview 4,through USB,I know the format that it records on is .ts but I have tried to convert to this but can't find right software for it,any help would be welcome

I think you need the Doctor TS programme [Google it] -- it works but i believe it's very slow converting

i have a home network now so i only convert for close friends and family

Hi!

You can buy an [expensive] adaptor -- I got around this by scarting my VCR into my DVD Recorder then copying them onto DVDs

Slow method ["real" time] -- but worked really well

Try not to convert them into any other format - because you lose clarity in the conversion.............

However, if they are PRE-RECORDED tapes you need a DVD Recorder with MACROV*SION removal homebrew Firmware installed. Suprisingly easy to get !! I copied all my VHS collection this way - then took the VHS Cassettes to the local Charity Shop.... [where they sold very quickly!!]
