im trying to flash my starview 2 how do i get the box into boot mode i would be grateful if someone can get back to me and help thanks des

First of all welcome to the site.
Why not introduce yourself first.
Try not to fill your hard drive after downloading 14 files after 1 post. You only need 2 files for the starview 2
Follow these instructions
Download 4.57 + loader 4.03 to your desktop .
Open the file you downloaded to desktop. Extract the Bin file and loader to you r PC (remember where you saved the files)
Plug you Box into your Pc using RS232 female to female Null modem serial cable. (or USB to 9pin female cable- you will probably need the drivers for the usb. You can find these in the download section)
Locate the files you extracted and open the loader application 4.03. When box appears click on the Bin File button. Select the bin file 4.57 you saved to your PC. Press download and wait till it has reached 100%
Once you have flashed the new firmware go into the menu and do a factory reset.
Rescan the box choosing your local cable provider.(N*L etc) Choose english-autoscan
Once the channels have saved, exit out 3 times.
Press menu and then 1570 you will go into another secret menu.
Highlight the default key and press ok.
Then scroll down to the emu and turn it on.
Exit out and put your box onto a S*y sp1
Wait for it to update. This may take a while.
You should be now all up and running

hi thanks for that ive done all that but i need my box to say boot on the front of it thats all im gettin is the channel number or standby mode how do i get it to say boot

Does the logo Box super appear on the tv. If not you will have to download and flash the logo

its the box not the box super do i need to plug it into a tv or can i just flash in on my pc

ive tried that but it keeps tellin me failed do i need to get the box into boot mode and if so how do i do it sorry for being so dull theres probably an easy way its just i dont know

Yes I meant the box.

As Macca has said just flash the logo the same way you would flash the firmware

u need to flash the logo file at the same time as the bin file ,ie-app file first then boot ( THELOGO FILE WHICH HAS TO BE TICKED WHEN LOADING AS BACKGROUND FILE )
