Up And running!

Hi guys got my Starview 5 up and running so a massive thankyou to everyone who has posted helpful topics, much appreciated by all who read them.

Just a few questions though:

1: Is there anywhere i can download the instruction manual, mine came with it but the mrs used it as a light for the fire!

2: Is there anywhere with the channel listings? I'm with Ntl and i haven't got a clue what all the channels numbered 3000 are, or SVOD 1!!!!!

3: Do you have to download the EPG servive everytime you want to look at it?

Not to sure if there is a User Manual uploaded for a SV5. Cant see one in the download section.
The channels you are talking about with no names are where you find some naughty channels plus the box office and the Vermin on demand movies. Providing someone in your area has ordered any of these it will show on your box.
You will have to go through these channels manualy to find out which channel is which and then take a note of them. Some of these channels will have nothing on them at all.

sorry mate basically you cant get ppv movies..... but... if a neighbour pays for movie , it sometimes comes thro' your set. more later. ppv sports are different. you get them just before they come on, no idea how long, but they are on. i've always found them on channels after 999. some silly numbers, no info etc, but worth looking at . can sometimes be duplicated. thats what those 3000 channels are. worth looking at...

I've noticed that i don't have all the channels listed on the list, is there anyway i can find the channels frequency and manually tune them in?
