max232 cable

hi all im looking to buy the max232 cable for my starview4 i know you can get it off tailor made circuits i also found one on ebay.

the one on ebay can do modems and xbox 360 am i better with that one or the one from tailor made?

i brought mine from tailor made and it worked a treat,

don't forget you will need the other bits to connect up

null modem lead
possibly a com port to usb converter


download the latest gt-rom loader for your unit

and follow the instructions

flick it off at the back and back on after you have done the set up to intitiate the transfer.

thanks mate if got plenty of null modem cables and a usb to serial converter i was just thinking if i get the one off ebay i could use it for modems too but i dont know its gonna cost me the say anyway and i get 3 in 1.

oh right so the only diff is the connector lead from the max 232 to the starview,xbox or modem.?
