Are you using a Max232 interface to allow you use GTrom V25 loader to repair it?

The V25 loader you just thanked Martin for http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...wnloads-63473/ so I am sure you have it.

Could you post the ebay link of where you bought the Max232? The Max232 you bought could have been for use with a modem as the cable pin out differs between that and a Starview Max232 IF.

Easy enough to change around if you can pop out the pins on the molex plug I am sure I have the pin out somewhere.

That one is specifically configured for modems as said above.

The molex lead that comes with it you may be able to alter the pin out if you have a pin insertion tool or sometimes a paper clip may do the job, but it is prone to damaging the pins.

I see the cable has a pin out label it, you need to alter it to this config.

Open the lid of your sv4 and look directly behind the USB you will see a 4 Pin connector. Looking at this from front view pin 1 = vcc+ Pin2 =TX Pin 3 = RX Pin 4= Ground.

Using your max232 Adaptor cable re-connect the pins according to the above pin out.

Or you may forget all that and purchase a new one from Tailormadecircuits that is specific to your needs.

If they did but make sure the pin out is correct.

                      pin layout

looking at the 4pin connector on the box is it looking at pin1 at the left?
