m8 ,i dont think they r sellin s v 4 any mores as lots of clones came out so they put a secruity chip in the s v 5 to prevent the copies...both r flashed with a usb stick..makin it easier as long as u remember to turn the box off when u either insert or remove the stick as theres a danger u ll brick the box( knacker it),,,u can also record ur progs n films on the sv 4 n sv 5.....with regards to which is the best box i cant help i only have starviews but if u read thro the threads on here and the othe other boxes u ll get a better idea ,,hope this helps ..if u get stuck post a thread theres lots of good peeps willin to help

                    Ta,

Ive got a question, how do you plug the box in, do you plug the cable in that normally plugs into your modem?

also can you plug more than one box in, and watch different channels?

you plug your box into the live virgin cable feed....the same one u plug ur virgin supplied set top box into .....or u can plug it into the cable your virgin modem is plugged into.....u can buy splitters and have ur modem and ur sv box plugged into the same feed if u need to.......i dont understand the second part of ur question...watch diff channels???but u can have a box in one room ,put a splitter on the virgin cable feed and run some cable to another room if u want ...or u can buy av senders and not go to the fuss of runnin cables...hope this helps

I mean if you split the cable 3 ways, 1 for modem, then the other 2 for 1 box in one room and another box in another room, will each box be able to watch different channels at same time or will you both have to watch same channel?
