Hi gents not been on for a while box been working great till last night when that dreaded 8882 No came up ??
I bought all the proper items to re-flash last time the MAX?? and that fixed the problem.
I dont have any download showing on screen ( didnt last time either) but this time the Box screen flashes 8882 goes blank and nothing happens, any one have any ideas on this one please ??

Also Where do I buy a new box from If I need one ( the last was from DVB Monkey ) and had no responce from them whatso ever so wont be going there again..

    Thanks

I was about to give up on the flashing when I pushed a few wires and their connectors on a little tighter just behind the front screen panel, all of a sudden the box stopped blinking and I had the last tv channel No we were watching come up on the lcd screen. ???

I dont know if it had bad connections but it certainly seemed that way.. its back up & working again so if it goes again I willl certainly be trying the connections out first..

      Will.

I thinks the Gremlins come at night and ease the scart leads from their socket.

Box started flashin 8882 again this afternoon when I was at work so the wife couldnt get it working
What I did when I got home was take the top casing off (looking down into the box screen facing you) there are some ribbon cables at the front behind the screen just to the left of center, I loosened the cables simply by pulling them out of the holder and then re-fitting them a couple of times making the contacts shiny again, I'm wandering if these contacts tend to loose some connectivity and then showing the fault 8882.

This cured mine in 30 seconds its now working a treat again,
            ( long may it last)

Worth a try before you buy a new box as I was going to..

I have DVB's box too. I believe it is a clone, but it seems to work OK. Just for info, I once turned mine off for a week while I was away, and when turned back on it showed the 8882 & 0002 messages and kept restarting. I let it restart a few times and then switched it off at the back for a few seconds and then beck on. Don't know what that did, but it then booted up OK. Perhaps it warmed up a bit. Anyway, just thought I'd mention it incase it might help someone.
