starview 4 lost channels

hi have a starview which i bought with pre installed firmware in may. have not had a problem but tonight the box froze. i turned off power and turned it back on and have lost all channels other than bbc 1 to 4 and channel 5. have rescanned and can find all channels, can download epg but just get black screen for all channels??? please can anyone help. please try and limit the tech speak if its not a quick fix.

make sure you turned key code back on after scanning..

If you are not sure how to turn the key code on go into menu press 1570 and then you are taken into the secret menu and turn key code on.

Thanks very much for all the help key code was off after scanning . Put key code on and now channels are back thanks again

same prob put keycode on already many times still same prob any advice pls

factory reset first scan again for your provider and turn the deycode on

I'm having the same problem, i personally think they have changed the enrcyption hence the black screens.

if vemin had done that we would all off, wouldn't we? so thats not the answer. btw, what area are you in? and do you get normal stuff??

starview4 loads of channels lost

few of my channels are working including sky sports , but most of the channels are gone i get the programme listing but nothing is displayed . tried re-scanning but no luck can some help got star view 4

I'm in the watford area, all free to air is working fine all other$ have stopped working black screen only,

to access it press menu then press 1570.

i live in watford 2 , but my sky sports 1 and 2 are working but these are only a handful of what i used to get most channels stopped working on 2- 3 Nov. key code is on in option 1570

Thanks Maca , but this method has been tried many, many times over, same result as before losing channels, and black screen, Like Rick problem also started on 2\3 nov, any other advice would be appreciated. Thanks

have you another provider? i can get x/cw or t/pest. get minor variations in channels.also press default after setting k/code on...
