Beginner to starveiw 4 usb

Hi all,
I'm new to this site and have not long purchased a starveiw 4 usb using it with v*gin. I have looked at other posts and can see how everyone helps each other which is great, I just have a few questions to set my mind at ease,
I have checked all the signs to see if mine is fake and it appears its genuine, i see alot of people post the "Dreaded 8882". Does this only happen with fake boxes or is anyone at risk? If not what causes this to happen?

I have version 1.07 and works great..... saying this i've only had it 3wks, Trying to prepare for the worst (should it happen)

i have the old starview pvr twin tuner had a few probs when first got it. but with help from guys on kaos got it sorted in no time.i am glad your happy with your reciever if its been ok the last 3 wks, i would cross that bridge when you come to it.

id prob leave it on 1.07 if i were u ,as it s a geniune box...882 tends to happen when the usb stick is either inserted or removed when the box is on..so do that when the box is turned off.....if it s workin ok leave it alone ,,,if u have any probs post a thread theres lot s of good peeps on here who will help u out

i have a sv 4 m8 so far so good i too have seen 8882 on my display but that was when the picture frozze? had to turn of at back seen 8882 but it went away hope this helps

dDO NOT TAKE YA USB OUT OF YA SV WHEN ITS ON OR YOU WILL SEE 8882 ON YA BOX M8
