Starview 4 won't turn on

Started displaying Invalid box today then went off about half hour ago?

What does it say on the display.
Can you still get in the menu

Any lights anywhere on the box.?
Is the switch on the back been turned off accidently?

Yeh the switch was turned off on the back of the box, but only when everything else including the tv was properly shut down. It was done cos the "invalid box" message kept popping up

And no lights on the box at all.

The invalid box message will have nothing to do with your box going off.
Lots of people get this message.
Could be a fuse.

Always best to read through posts to find an aswer 1st, Satsmo answered this a few posts down from yours, although you don't want to hear it this is his answer:
"The bootloader is dead and no jtag fix at present. You will see a light at the SPDIF port on the box indicating power is present but as said it will not boot."
Basically it's ~~~~ed!

So nothing can be done. How did it happen?

Is it worth buying a new box? With al the N3 stuff?
