Starview 4 recording to usb stick

HI,

I can record to my usb on my starview 4usb, and i can watch it back, but what im looking to do is watch the programs on my laptop, i have downloaded a playver called vlc, but it doesnt seem to work something to do with the subtitles then if i put the usb stick back into to starview 4 box, it says it's invalid and reformats the usb stick and wipes off the firmware file.

Does anybody know of a player i could use on my laptop, that works and doesnt play silly buggers with the usb stick!

You can download the codex so you can play the .ts files with windows media player

Sorry to but in, but theme is similar.
Record function really good to USB on my SV 5,only drawback is not being able to stop and then resume later, or being able to go forward in segments, only way I can see is to fast forward.
Bit annoying if I watch part of a film one day and not being able to resume were I left off another day

Use convertx to dvd it recognizes the .ts files that the starview creates & will burn it straight to dvd plus no codecs or anything needed to do it.

I did download the codecs for window media player,but still didn't play the .ts files!

don't bother with windows media player, use VLC pleyer instead, it will play anything you throw at it.. and it a free download..
