Starview 3 and 5 picture issues

My starview 3 and 5 are having problems with the picture outlay.They are set in 16.9 mode on the tv and cable box (widescreen tv) but some channels seem to be set in 4.3 mode with the black boarders on the sides,Also some channels won't come on but if you flick the channel back the channel will come on,Both boxes have the latest firmware installed to my knowledge.Any help would be greatfull please.

funnily enough, i've had a similar problem with my picture settings, not a great nuisance but tried a few times but cant get it the way it was.

Press blue button on remote, that will toggle between the two.
