Poor signal on Stariew USB

Hi I have a Starview USB but the signal ( ESPN ) is very poor, keeps saying no signal. Is there a signal booster I can use to get a better signal. Is the Starview 5 ant better ?.

whats the signal like on other channels??

Most of the other channels are good but there are a few that get blocking on the tv.

might sound daft but how long is your cable feed?

dont think cable length matter so much, have seen signal boosters recommended but never used one myself ,except for normal tv arial.

To answer both the cable is about 40Ft ( from one end of house in the attick ). I have bought a signal booster from argos "http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5344235/Trail/searchtext>SIGNAL+BOOSTER.htm" and works for most channels but the signal seems to be getting worse.

Is there another box with a better tuner I can buy.

not an expert on boosters, nor anything else for that matter,but think a booster can also boost a bad signal! hence will aggrevate the problem. not a box problem tho'.
can you not try directly from input into house?

I have the same problem.
My Espn current status is no signal, but all other channels are excellent aswell as Espn America.

Thanks for your info Jok but still no joy im afraid. Espn just comes up with info-no signal.
What is the down frequency for that channel?

are you scanning from the main feed m8?.. no splitters..

ok m8 rescan your box from the main feed and this should sort you out..

I will also scan from main feed. How does scaning this way make it better ?. TV's are getting complicated as computers these days. thanks for all the replys

you'll get a stronger signal from the main feed....
