how do you format 500gb harddrive for starview 4

can somebody please give me simple instructions on how to format a 500gb external harddrive so it can be compatable for a starview 4?

please help i am stuck

turn starview box off from switch at the back, plug in your harddrive, turn box back on.

press "hdd" on your control (left-handside, above pvr functions). this should take you to a menu showing what is on your harddrive then press the yellow button for format.

if you dont get to that menu, then a message will appear sayin your drive is not formatted, it will ask continue or cancel. as long as your drive has nothing on it which you value then press continue (talking from experience - i accidently formatted my drive with 300GB worth of movies etc, not a nice feeling)

mcgrudge.if you use install spotmau 08 you will get all your movies back on hd
