hi, i have been asked for help,my friend has given me an old starview 1 or 2 i think, it has a square front,just says starview on front,when its turned on it only displays a single 0, the remote does not work,i think it needs updating,if so can anyone give me firmware and loader please,many thanks.

hi, i have just given my friend and old starview 1, he has a line and his samsung box works but when starview is put in it displays no signal and the is no signal in the signal bar , this box works fine in my home. But i do live i a different area could this be the problem. I may need to change the area codes if so how?

I have the cable direct in to the cable input of the sv. Im with virg hes with virg but in the signal bar it says no signal. the cable is a brand new cableComment

i have done anauto scan on all providers only om responds with 9 channels but when i put in seperate frequency's channels show up. on locked channels it says updating and then freezes and i have to turn off the box from the mains. the free channels all work so it tells me there is a feed from the line. I have also tried a usb 4 with this line and it has the same problem no signal but this box does not respond to any of the providers.Comment

The actual samsung box works fine which tells me the signal is fine. I was thinking this area may require an older software for the box because it has the latest software on this box. when it updates the channel software it freezes from previous experience this only happened when it had the wrong software.Comment
