Starview 1 - Tyne & Wear Area

Hi all you experts!

I managed to get my Starview working thanks to the 'StarViewPVR-21122008' file on this forum and inputting the keys from chatterbox.

My problems are:-

1) my STB only picks up about 200 channels or so and I scan on Ex Cable & Wireless for up here (is that right?).

2) Its not bringing up any ESPN channels and none of the HD channels work? (I presume the HD wont work on this STB model, is this the case?).

3) I can only pick up 1 PPV channel and after a few seconds it scramble again. Any ideas?

4) Finally does anyone have the channel list file as the one on this forum no longer works.

try doing a factory reset and re scanning it then switch the emu back on when your scanned!!

Thanks but I've downloaded this and unsure what to do with it as such.

Does it need to be installed under Boot File only or App File only?

I'm confused.com

DONT put that f/w on your box, that is for a sv1, you said in earlier post that you have the PVR starview.

EDIT what box have you got?? your thread starter says sv1 but then you say you have a PVR?????

I have 'The Box' Dual Tuner PVR (I presume its a Starview) and I suspect its a clone as it was made in China and no where on the box or on boot up does it mention the words Starview. I dont know why it says its a Dual Tuner because I can only record what Im watching then it scrambles if I change the channel.

Any ideas what I can do to pick up PPV and ESPN?

EDIT: Also you all keep mentioning the word EMU and I dont get an EMU menu, when I enter parental controll, 'i' then 2007 it takes me to a screen which only allows me to select Nagravision I, II and Autoupdate (on).

When I go into Nagravision I,II it allows me to enter the keys, so is this the same as EMU? Like I mentioned I can get Sly Sports and Movies etc so I must have done something right?

not to well up on that box but yes auto update is like emu to on,ppv is usually for irl and only is on when they broadcast a signal,uk it might be a tv number so recheck your listings but if no signal =no picture.if you have a splitter on line when you scan it may stop some channels from been picked up.

Okay mate, I dont have a splitter on (yet) but I thought the PPV would work, or atleast when the boxing is on.

I'll factory reset and will rescan all over again, cheers anyway.
