starview 3 are they any good

hi there i was thinking of getting a starview 3 box from mydigibox. what is the starview 3 like is it reliable would i get any problems updating the software?

also are the boxes from mydigibox genuine or clones?

s?views are ok and will get you free tv. imho nowhere near as reliable as dreambox, dbox2, or other plug and play boxes such as kryptview, eurovox or digivox. the arnet k`view is a good cheap reliable box for ?80.

personaly i reckon the SV 3 is/has been the best of all the SV however they were discontinued for the SV4 and now the SV5 so new ones may be hard to come by.
as bugaloo states the arnet A750 are about the best plug/play,easy set up,channel list similar to a subbed box,power search when in standby etc etc but be aware the early ones had a flaw with the remotes being very unresponsive(faulty resistor) and i cant confirm whether this issue has been resolved with the newer models.take a look at the new eurovox ex 6000,its getting some good reviews.

defo not worth it, these have not been made for over a year, so these will be clones.

think if you order any starview now they will send you the s/v5 anyway m8.

got one dirt cheap for a mate 3 weeks ago. not a clone, f/ware loaded, 8.04. trouble is cant find who off.. pc crashed and lost all info... but had sv3 for 20 months, best 80squid spent in years....
