starview 1 newbie

hi ...hope someone can help with this as its driving me and the mrs crazy , we bought a starview 1 off a mate who swears it was working on all channels , but we can only get basic ones . first thought we had been ripped off until reading about these loaders and codes , we dont know any of the technical stuff ... can anyone tell us in simple terms how to get it working ??? will be greatly appreciated !

try this m8 go to menu.
then factory settings (0000)
then auto scan
when done go to menu again and press (1570)
turn key emu on
then exit out to a sly channel and let the box update.

nice one mate it sorted it ! thought id been sold a dud for a minute there . hey dont mean to be a pain but dont suppose u know why there no sound on the tvs upstairs that are connected to it thro a booster system ? picture fine but no sound ? .... im liking all this stuff , are the newer starview systems any good ? can u get more channels and have a proper tv planner menu ?

go into menu/user setup and make sure modulator is set to pal 1
