Being using starview 4 for 3 months now, but yesterday stopped dead, and nows comes up with 8882 problem on power up. Is this this the same problem and can it be resolved using the null modem cable, etc or is it a different problem. A newbie and don't know much about the Starview 4 yet!

          8882 Problem

Have dowloaded firmware (1.07) and the LOGO file using TDC circuit and Maplin null modem, Starview 4 still not working.
On powerup display shows 8888, then 8882 and then the boot version b-01. After that the dislay just shows "----" (4 dashes) and that's it. Nothing else can be down, no picture or anything.
Is there something else that may be wrong??
          Thanks

I am not sure but I may have taken the USB out with the box on!!

I didn't know you have to use a file to bring it back tp flashing mode. Which file is this and where can I get it?

never ever put in or remove usb while box is on,that is why so many problems happen, read back to second post.

Problem solved. Barking up the wrong tree!!!

When the box stopped working I set the box to factory settings, and this is where the problems began (unknowingly). It also reset the channel that the box was tuned to, CH38. I had changed this for my own choice. Tuned the TV back to ch38 and all is okay.

Thanks everyone for your input. It's been a learning experience.
