    SV1 NO POWER

I have a SV1 box that wont power on, what can be the problem with this and is it worth attempting to fix? it has had few signs of revival, where it has come and then gone off.. by this i mean lights up, then switches off, but been off for few months now..

Just want to know coz its just laying around at the moment no use..

Common cap failure on the SV1 is the C11 on the PSU. Replace it for a 16V 1000uf cap. Maplins stock them for a few pence. Part No. VH50E.

thats 5 for ?55 on ebay, so if needed ?15 max for 1.

is it better to change the whole board? or just the 16V 1000uf cap?
