hi everyone,im very new to all this so please be patient.iv got a starview 3 which needs updating as its gone off.i understand that i need codes/firmware ?? can anyone help/advise on what i have to do ????

Have downloaded the latest firmware for it but it wont download onto the box. Have all the leads plugged in etc but when the downloading box comes up, it's stuck at 0% and doesn't do anything???

Am using an RS232 cable into the USB port on my laptop. The COM port is set correctly. I don't understand why it's not downloading, it just sticks on downloading 0% and does nothing. Do I need to do anything to the box, other than switch it on once the cables are all in place?

when you press download wait for a few seconds then turn the box on from the rear might take a few goes but usally works,,
